This page contains some useful tools, called bookmarklets, that simplify common tasks in the Facebook game Mafia Wars. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, read the FAQ!
Install the bookmarklets you want by dragging them to your bookmarks toolbar. (If you're using Internet Explorer, dragging doesn't seem to work. Instead, right-click on the link and then choose "Add to favorites". You really should do yourself a favour and get Firefox or Google Chrome.)
Mafia Wars user actions
These bookmarklets do Mafia Wars actions on a user from their Facebook or Mafia Wars profile.
| Use this to add a friend who also plays Mafia Wars. Visit their Facebook profile page and then click "Add to Mafia". The page should now say "Adding user with id nnn..." and then go right into Mafia Wars. Then the person should be added to your mafia, and Mafia Wars will say that the person has been added. Your mafia count, however, is not immediately updated. Note: You have to be Facebook friends with the person you're adding for this to work. After adding the person to your mafia, you can safely remove the person as your Facebook friend, if you want. |

| Use this to switch between a person's Facebook profile and their Mafia Wars profile. It also works from an "add friend"-page, such as this. However, it does not work from your own Mafia Wars profile. | |

| Use this to send energy to this person. If the person already got energy within 24 hours, you will just get a Mafia Wars screen. | |
| Use this to give a collection item or loot item to someone. This takes you to a page on heartrate.se where you can choose a gift to give to that person. If you'd rather type in the ID yourself than use the bookmarklet, just go here. |
Mafia Wars helper bookmarklets
| Mafia Mike's buyer! Install bookmarklet, go to Mafia Wars, press bookmarklet. Lots of Mafia Mike's will be bought. Does not work in Internet Explorer. | |
| Tries to add all friends who aren't already in your mafia. Install bookmarklet, go to recruit page, press bookmarklet. It will ask for a delay time between requests. Too low values of this might make Facebook think you're a spammer. Use at own risk, as usual. Does not work in Internet Explorer. | |
| Compute the ratio of experience points needed to level up to available energy. To maximize energy usage, pick jobs that have a ratio not exceeding this one. | |
| Analyze your fights using the Combat Calculator! Run this after a fight and follow the instructions. Alternatively, go here and follow the instructions. | |

Use this on hitlisting pages to quickly set the bounty to , or the amount of your choice (edit the text field below the bookmarklet before installing it). The bookmarklet will set the "Hit List Bounty Amount" field and then press the "Set Bounty" button for you. Saves a couple of seconds; to some of us, who do a lot of hitlisting, that's important. |
Facebook user actions
These do Facebook actions from a user's profile.
